Royal Bhutan Police Training College, Trashigatshel, Chukha:
Background
The Royal Bhutan Armed Police has been established in 1992 as per the Government directives at Chukha Mebesa, commonly known as Surge Shaft. The place has been rechristened as Tashigatshel in the year 1997 by His Holiness Dzongsar Jamyang Khentshe Rimpoche.

This Training Center is changed to a Police Training College to impart basic training to the officer cadre and in-service courses to the serving officers and the men of the Police service.
ROLE
  • Provide basic training to the directly recruited officer trainees.
  • Provide in service courses and promotion cadre course for NCOs and ORs
  • A Reserve of the central Police force for any rapid deployment.

  • MISSION: The Mission of the Police Training college is to develop Professionals for maintaining law and order within the kingdom.
    Aims and Objectives
    The aims of the College is to ensure that the cadets acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, attitude, understanding and conduct required for effectively discharging their duties as a Officer Commandings.
