On 8th July, the Royal Bhutan Police received two fire fighting trucks from His Excellency Dr. Ryoichi Nagata, the Honorary Consul of Bhutan in kagoshima, Japan. The handing-taking ceremony was conducted at the Royal Bhutan Police HQs, Thimphu between the Addl. Chief of Police and Dr. Nagata. The ceremony was attended by the representatives from Home Ministry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gross National Happiness Commission and JICA office.

The two fire fighting trucks were donated by Dr. Ryoichi Nagata, Honorary Consul of Bhutan in Kagoshima, Japan with support from the fire chief, Gyodo City Fire Department and Administrator, Saitamaken-Nanseibu Fire Department. Futher, Dr. Nagata also funded Nu. 1.098 millions For the shipment cost of the two fire fighting trucks.

Of the two fire fighting trucks, a truck with water tank will be sent to wangdue and other one with the pump will be kept at Thimphu fire Brigade to replace the old one.
