On January 8, 2025, the Royal Bhutan Police held a meeting with officials from TikTok, who are on a goodwill visit to Bhutan at the RBP headquarters.
Discussions centered on enhancing responsible and positive use of social media, cultivating a positive online environment and exploring areas of collaboration and assistance between the RBP and TikTok.
This meeting highlighted the shared commitment of the Royal Bhutan Police and the concerned stakeholders in collaboration with TikTok, to safe guard the social media rights of all, prevent criminals, drug traffickers and self vested individuals from using this platforms for self gain and creating disharmony in the society.
