On December 27, 2024, the Royal Bhutan Police coordinated a stakeholder meeting at GovTech to address challenges associated with the misuse of social media platforms.
The primary goal of the meeting was to develop a coordinated and systematic approach to address social media issues.
The stakeholders were Ministry of Home Affairs, GovTech, Bhutan Information, Communications, and Media Authority (BICMA), Department of Media, Creative Industry, and Intellectual Property (DoMCIIP), Office of the Attorney General (OAG), Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and Royal Bhutan Police.
