Crime Scene Investigation Training
With the approval of the Royal Bhutan Police Headquarters, the Crime and Operations Department has initiated and successfully conducted a series of Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) training programs to enhance the capacity of officers and other ranks involved in handling crime scenes.

Over three cohorts, 46 officers, 127 crime clerks, and 47 prosecutors were trained in crime scene investigation. The final cohort was held from November 13 to 21, 2024, at the Special Reserve Police Force in Tashigatshel. This intensive training equipped participants with the skills to efficiently process crime scenes and optimize the collection of physical evidence, thereby increasing case detection rates.

The program also featured guest speakers from the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), who provided valuable insights on prosecution skills, the new charge sheet system, child justice, and other relevant legal frameworks.

This initiative enhances the technical and legal acumen of the participants and boosts their morale, fostering greater public trust in the investigative methods employed by the Royal Bhutan Police.
