Chief of Police promoted to the rank of Major General
His Majesty The King, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces promoted Brigadier Chimi Dorji to the rank of Major General at a ceremony in Tashichhodzong this morning.
His Majesty The King also promoted Brigadier Sangay Thinley of Royal Body Guards to the rank of Major General and Colonel Pem Dorji of the Royal Body Guards to the rank of Brigadier.
Major General Chimi Dorji was commissioned into the Royal Bhutan Police in 1985. He was appointed as the Chief of Police of the Royal Bhutan Police in 2016. Major General Chimi Dorji is the recipient of Drakpoi Norbu Yoedsel in 2013.
