When Should A Police Report Be Made?
You should make police report when:
  • You are a victim of a crime or a crime has been committed;
  • Property is lost or found.
Police reports can be lodged in the following ways:
  • By making a written report made at a Police Station.
  • By calling '113'. You need not lodge a written report after calling '113', unless you wish to retain a written record of your report.
Do not tamper with a scene of crime on which a culprit might have left traces of evidences, e.g. fingerprints and bloodstains. Once a Police crime report is lodged, the Police will advise you on the next course of action and provide you with a copy of the Police crime report. If the report reveals the commission of an offence, the Police will investigate the case. If your case is being investigated, the investigation officer of the case will inform you of the preliminary status of your case within the first 7 working days. The investigator will also keep you updated on subsequent developments of the case. Should you have any further leads or information into your case, you should inform the investigation officer promptly.
