The Golden Jubilee Publication “Royal Bhutan Police : Journey Thus Far (1965-2015)”
The Golden Jubilee Publication “Royal Bhutan Police : Journey Thus Far (1965-2015)” published to celebrate the 50 years of Royal Bhutan Police and dedicated to the 60th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo was launched by Lyonpo Dawa Gyaltshen, Minister of Home and Cultural Affairs on 07 November 2015 in RBP HQs at Zilnon Namgyeling, Thimphu in a formal ceremony attended by officials from the Ministry, Agencies, Sponsors and Officers of RBP HQs.

The publication “Royal Bhutan Police : Journey Thus Far (1965-2015)” that encapsulates historical perspectives and changing dynamism of policing in Bhutan through pictures and narratives, celebrates 50 illustrious years of the Royal Bhutan Police under the enlightened leadership, unparal¬leled wisdom and constant guidance of the visionary Monarchs of the Kingdom of Bhutan.

The celebration of the 50 Golden years of Royal Bhutan Police was marked by the historic visit of His Majesty the King to the Police Training Institute in Jigmeling and the Royal Address during the Passing Out Parade of the 47th Batch of Gagsars on 15 March 2015 which has significantly been the highest honor and a matter of great pride to the ranks of RBP.

Further, as RBP celebrates the Golden Jubilee year, we dedicate our Golden Jubilee Publication to commemorate the 60th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuck. With great honor and deep respects, all the ranks of RBP offers our humble prayers for the good health, happiness and long life of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo and on this occasion, we also pledge our solemn loyalty and dedication to serve the Tsa Wa Sum with courage, determination and firmness by promoting the principles of integrity, accountability and transparency.

The Roy¬al Bhutan Police was formally instituted on 01 Sep¬tember 1965 under the Command of His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck and since then thousands of men and women have proudly donned the blue uniform to protect citizens and safeguard our country. Today, 50 years later, the Royal Bhutan Police stands proud guided by the wisdom and visionary leadership of our Beloved Monarchs and the invaluable contributions of our pioneers for the last fifty Golden years in fulfilling the sacred duty of enforcing the laws and ensuring eternal peace and harmony in the country.
