This is to inform the general public that as part of public safety and security measures,
the following traffic arrangements shall be implemented for the 60th Birth Anniversary
Celebration of 4th Druk Gyalpo.
1. On 9th, 10th and 11th November, 2015, Norzin Lam shall be closed for all types of
vehicles.
2. On 11th November, 2015, Chang Lam shall be closed from 0600hours to 1500
hours for all types of vehicle.
Public wishing to witness the program at Changlimithang are requested to park their
vehicles in following designated parking on 11th November and avail the shuttle bus
service which shall be available from 0600 hours onwards.
1. Motithang School/Changangkha Parking (West)
Public of this area to park their vehicles in Motithang Higher Secondary School
parking or Changangkha Parking and avail free shuttle bus services provided from
the school ground to city bus stand at Changlam.
2 Gyelyong Tshongkhang Parking (North)
Public of Dechencholing/Taba and Langjophakha area to park their vehicles in
Ministry of Foreign Affairs parking and avail free shuttle bus services till city bus
stand.
3. Truck Parking (South)
Public of South Thimphu to park their vehicles in the truck parking and avail free
shuttle bus services till the Clock Tower Square.
4. YHSS/Lungtenzampa Parking (East)
Public of Lungtenphu and Simtokha area to park their vehicles in YHSS and
Lungtenzampa MSS parking and proceed on foot.
5. In view of parking shortages at Changlimithang, all participants and invitees are
requested to use pool cars.
RSTA/Traffic Police would like to request all the road users to strictly follow the Traffic
Rules.
